SuperBowl!

Okay so the Cardinals didnt win. But what a game they gave it all they had.

Vernon bought this for Dean before he was born and it finally fits him just in time for the SuperBowl.

Even though the Cardinals lost we had a lot of fun watching a great game with some friends. Vernon's pretty bummed though it'll take him awhile to recover.

House update

Our house is really coming along. We are probably 2-3 weeks from moving in.

We were going to have a fireplace, but we ran into some problems with it. It turns out it was going to be a crappy fireplace anyways. But it so happens that our fireplace opening is the exact same width as our T.V. so we turned into an entertainment center.

*Christmas*

I just wanted to drop a quick note and share with everyone how grateful I feel this Christmas! I absoluletly LOVE having my two amazing boys - my life feels so much more complete now that I have kids. And of course I love my extremely wonderful husband! He is so good to me and is such a fun great Dad - I love him so very very much.

And we were just surprised this morning with Tommy and DeAnn and there incredibly cute boys showing up for a whole week to play! We now have all of Vernons family here for the holidays. I dont know why I personally feel so grateful for this but I am. And as an extra bonus I get to have my parents come and spend Christmas with us.

I love my family and my 4 year old new family. They are amazing and accepting of all my crazy corkyness. And oh my goodness have helped me soooo much in adjusting to having two boys.
I have the best families in the world :)

I hope you all have a spectacular Christmas and can spend it with who you love too!

Kids

Dean loves to accesorize, here he is wearing a hat from his cousin Emily, beads from his cousin Becca, and sunglasses from one of his twin cousins (Justin or Mason), while holding a Simpson pen, a hanger, and a bag of some sort. Lets hope he grows out of this phase eventually.

Welcome to the world of Cole........this is pretty much it (except at night time). Dean's cousin Mathew is in town from Wyoming and they got to see Santa at the ward Christmas party.
All Dean wanted for Christmas was that plastic spoon.

Windows!

They put in our windows yesterday. I can't belive how fast everything is going. Today they started the ruff-in for the electrical and plumbing although there is still a little framing to do. On saturday Vernon is going to start the ruff-in for the A/C, and next week it will be shingled

Upstairs we have the Master bed and bath ( on the left side of this picture) an office (in the front, on the right side of the door) the kitchen, livingroom, 2 kids rooms and another bathroom.
We are leaving the downstairs unfinished for now accept for the garage and food storage, but eventually it will have a large living area that will be a theater room and a play room. It will also have 2 more kids rooms, and a bathroom. Hopefully we can finish the theater room quickly, the rest probly won't get done for years.

We are really excited about the deck! It will wrap around this side of the house.

Another beautiful Arizona sunset. This is looking South from our front door.
This is west out of our bedroom window.

Cole William Batty

Ok, we are a little behind but Tiana has been really busy (and sleep deprived) so I am going to post for her.
On December 7th 2008 Tiana gave birth to Cole William Batty. He was 6lbs 11ozs and was 18 1/2 in long. He wasn't due until the 24th so we were a little surprized (and not very well prepared) but we are so glad to have him already. Tiana was amazing, she woke me up at 4:00 Sunday morning and said she was having contractions. I timed them and decided we better go to the hospital. So at 4:30 we dropped Dean off at my sisters, drove to the hospital and at 5:20 Cole was born.

Who put that Thatcher Eagles hat on him!

The nurses put him in a stocking, it was really cute. And no, the irony that his name is Cole and he came in a stocking was not lost on us.

We got to bring him home around 11:00 the next morning

You can't really tell in this picture, but his eyes are very dark blue
Dean is so good with his baby brother. From the first moment he saw him he couldn't wait for us to get him out of the car seat so he could hold him. I'm not sure how but he knew just how to hold him and didn't want any help or anyone else to have him (he's only 18 mo old)
Dean kept wanting Cole to hold his finger.
